Favorite Movies

One important part of the Kris Kon tradition is movie nights. Aliens, Pulp Fiction, and Lord of the Rings are definitely our biggest classics. And now the Marvel super hero movies are making a play to get onto the short list.
Tonight we’re watching Avengers… And I’m wearing my brand new Tony Stark t-shirt. Yeah, it’s battery powered. 😀

So what are your favorite movies you share with your friend group? Maybe you like them because they’re good, maybe you like them because they’re cheesy, but if you love them because you share them with your favorite people I want to hear about them, especially if you can carry on entire conversations in movie quotes.

  1. One of my personal favorites for quoting is “Real Genius.” But I also love “Eating Raoul.”

  2. Be advised: Eating Raoul is very strange.

    wow? favorite movie? what genre?

my all time favorite movie is “The Court Jester” Danny Kaye, Glynis Johns, Basil Rathbone, Angela Lansbury, Cecil Parker. Paramount 1956! the most awsome movie ever, and when you see Angela Lansbury (recognize her by voice) your jaw will drop! “But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?”

    after that?
favorite Monster film; THEM! 1954 Warner Brothers.
    favorite Musical; Into The Woods
favorite Sci-Fi film; Forbidden Planet. MGM 1956
favorite Sc-Fi TV; either Star Trek TOS or SPACE: 1999
favorite off-the wall film; Big Trouble in Little China
favorite modern sci-fi film; currently Battle: Los Angles.

but that’s not a fair listing, because i love lots of sci-fi and fantasy and watch just about everything (as long as it doesn’t have vampires, werewolves or zombies in it).

    how’s that?

If you haven’t seen “Primer”, that is definitely worth watching, and a bit off the beaten path.
